Global Advocacy

From Community Evidence to Global Influence.
GEM works to advance the rights, protection, and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ communities by connecting community realities with policy and international decision-making.
Our work combines human rights documentation, research, and analysis of laws and policies with strategic advocacy at the national, regional, and international levels.
We engage with UN mechanisms, including the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and Human Rights Council, multilateral institutions, governments, diplomatic missions, policymakers, and international civil society.
Our advocacy is evidence-based, community-informed, and context-sensitive, recognizing the political, cultural, and security realities of the communities we represent.
Community Evidence → Policy → Advocacy → Influence → Change
